スクールホリデー

お久しぶりです。シェリーです。

オーストラリアの学校といえば、日本と比べて休みばかりという印象です。

スクールホリデーは学校によっても異なりますが私立の方が長いです。。。

親としては高い学費を払っているのでもっと勉強してもらいたいと思いますが。。。また、学校にもよりますが我が息子の学校はお休み中の宿題はありません。。。なぜなぜ？？？

夏休み約2か月、秋休み約2週間、冬休み約3週間、春休み約2週間

オーストラリアは1月下旬から新学年がはじまりますので、長ーい夏休みが終わりいよいよという感じです。

またまた、お休みの間のバケーションケアーのお知らせが届きました。

えっもうお休みですか？この間イースター休み（秋休み？）が終わったばかりなのに。。。

息子はバケーションケアーに行くのが大好きです。まったく勉強をしないで遊んでばかりなので子供にとっては天国！もうYear7（日本では中学1年生）なのでバケーションケアーで1時間でもお勉強させてくれたらと思うこの頃です。

以下、バケーションケアーでのアクティビティ詳細です。それらを見て、いつ参加するか選べるようになっています。ちなみに、我が息子は映画の日とパットパットゴルフが大好きです。

MEGA GAMES DAY,
Come and join us and enjoy a fun filled day.We would love to hear your ideas of what games you would like to play.

TABATINGA,
Excursion location: Seagulls Club, Gollan Drive, Tweed Heads West ,NSW.

The centre includes jungle gym softplay, glow in the dark mini golf, glow in the dark mini golf, ball blasting balladium, digital interactive floor 

TRAVEL BUG,
Come on an adventure around the world and experience many different cultures. 

You will have the opportunity to experience different foods, games, sports and

crafts from various countries.

BROADWATER PARKLANDS- Excursion location: Marine Parade, Southport QLD 42(Approx. 50 children attending) 

There are swings, a giant lizards, bike education track, mono rail peddle bikes, flying fox and a jumping pillow providing hours and hours of jumping fun
BBQ lunch will be provided but remember to pack your skate boards or scooters

MESSY GAMES DAY,
It's time to get messy and have fun playing games you could have never have imagined.

WILD WEST DAY,
Saddle up your horses and ride off into the wild west. Be prepared for a day full of fun games and activities that make you feel like a real cowboy/cowgirl!! COME DRESSED UP AS A COWBOY/COWGIRL

PUTT PUTT, Excursion location: 2492 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach

Come and play two courses of mini golf, free slushi at lunch and loads of fun with your friends. 

MOVIES& MACCAS,
Excursion location: Readings Cinemas Harbour Town, Cnr Gold Coast Highway & Oxley Drive, Biggera Waters Qld.

Children will take part in having lunch at McDonalds Family restaurant and watching a recently released movie (rated G- PG) at the cinemas

MASTER CHEF,
Time to show us how talented you are in the kitchen. Try some new recipes, eat food and compete in group challeneges. some of the activities will be taste test, investion test, group cooking, chef hats and much more.

Lots of cooking , eating, competing and judging to be had.

ICE SKATING, Excursion location: Iceland, 15 Strathaird Road, Bundall QLD 4217

Children will the opportunity to learn how to ice skate, perfect their ice skating skills, gain confidence and have fun with friends on the ice.

CURRUMBIN WILDLIFE SANCTUARY, Excursion Location: 28 Tomewin St, Currumbin QLD 4223

A visit to the Sanctuary is a great opportunity for children to view native Australian animals in natural setting. Children are immersed in an environment rich with native plant and animal life.

CREATIVE CRAZINESS

Painting, craft, music, drama games, face painting and many more activities do with your friends but be prepared to get really dirty.
